The highlight of Homecoming 2009 in Stornoway this summer had to be Tattoo Hebrides.
Thousands of locals and visitors from abroad gathered on Lews Castle lawn to watch the spectacle of pipe bands, dancers, singers, and samba entertainers, as well as the amazing fireworks and the poignant lone piper playing from the turret of the castle at the end of the evening.
The whole weekend was deemed a magnificent success, however if you missed seeing the event in person, then there is a way to catch up with the launch this week of Tattoo Hebrides 2009 DVD.
Priced at £10 in various local shops and outlets the DVD would make a great Christmas present for friends and family on the mainland or abroad who could not make it home for the event itself.
