The Hebrides musical talent is set to shine this weekend at Era in Stornoway when the cream of the Isles’ popular music scene will rock the venue in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
A ten-hour musical marathon – ‘Macmillajam’ – on Saturday will see bands such as Face the West, Our Small Capital, Lunar Activities, Blitzer, The Strays, Sunrise not Secular, amongst others play non-stop in an effort to raise as much funds as possible for the charity.
And it won’t be the usual set from the performers, as organisers explain that there will be very much a ‘jam’ feel to the music, with a fair amount of improvisation.
Entrance to the event is by donation and the under 18s will also be welcome until the bar opens at 5pm.
The money raised from the fundraiser will be used for patient grants and training.
