LEAFLETS are expected to drop through the doors of residents in North Harris within the next few weeks to reassure them on the Out of Hours service as we approach the winter.
While the leaflets have been widely available in public places such as GP surgeries and local shops since August, NHS Western Isles are also issuing them to individual households to ensure everyone receives the relevant information about how the 
operates.
Administrative arrangements on the delivery of this mailshot are in hand.
Dr Angus McKellar, Medical Director, said he hoped the content of the leaflet would help reassure patients in North Harris.
He said: “Whilst the leaflet is already available in several locations in Harris, including the GP surgery, we do think it important that a mailing takes place to each household to give further reassurance.”
