Meet The Open University in Barra

open universityThe Open University is inviting local residents to find out more about their courses and qualifications at an informal open event to be held at St Brendan’s Hospital, Castlebay, Barra from 2pm to 4pm on Thursday 22 October. Just drop in, no appointment necessary.

 

The event will take place inside the hospital, where an OU tutor will be available to offer advice and information to prospective students on where to start, undergraduate courses available and options for financial support including the Part-Time Fee Grant (which could cover the cost of course fees in full for anyone who has a personal income of up to £25,000 a year).

 

With approximately 15,000 students, The Open University is Scotland’s leading provider of part-time higher education, offering a unique and flexible approach to learning wherever you live. No previous experience is required for most courses and spaces are available to start this year.
