an Lanntair successful in securing regular funding from Creative Scotland

an Lanntair is delighted to announce that it has successfully secured funding of £1.21 million over three years from Creative Scotland. This funding will be truly transformational; helping to support the organisation’s new and ambitious three year vision and business plan, and acting as a catalyst to lever new funds and investors into its arts programme and work with local communities. an Lanntair’s new vision, developed in consultation with the community, artists, stakeholders and staff, will see the organisation bring a diverse range of partners together to deliver a programme of excellence for the Western Isles that engages, illuminates and inspires local people and visitors alike.

an Lanntair’s Chairman David Green said, “We are so pleased that Creative Scotland has recognised the potential within an Lanntair’s new vision and business plan and awarded this three year grant. This funding presents a fantastic opportunity for an Lanntair to work with the local community and its diverse partnerships to create a truly engaging and inspirational future programme, and to really drive forward the already dynamic creative sector in the Outer Hebrides.  We expect to see this work having a strong and positive impact across the social, cultural and economic landscape of the islands”

Appointed as part of the Transition Project, an Lanntair has this month welcomed new Director Elly Fletcher, who will be leading an Lanntair’s new plans.  Elly commented, “This is fantastic news and an extremely exciting time for an Lanntair and its partners across the local community.  We are looking forward to delivering on the aspirations of our ambitious bid, coming together with our partners and the community to produce a superb programme of arts, creative and learning opportunities over the next three years.” 

CreativeScotlandhas today announced that they have funded 119 organisations with a total of £100 million pounds awarded to support the arts inScotland. The Regular Funding Portfolio 2015-18 consists of organisations working across craft, dance, film, literature, music, theatre and visual art. Regular Funding seeks to ensureScotlandhas a wide range of arts and creative organisations through which artists and creative people can deepen and deliver their work, their engagement with the public, and their professional networks.
