About 9am this morning a co-ordinated search was commenced in the Creagorry and Liniclate areas of Benbecula in relation to missing man James Davidson.
This search involved personnel from Coastguard, Hebridean Search and Rescue (HEBSAR), Coastguard Helicopter and Police.
During this search, at approximately 1045 am, the body of a man was found by HEBSAR personnel on the shoreline near to Liniclate, Benbecula, however formal identification has yet to take place.
Search operations have now been stood down.
