After a very busy sale season in 2011, Lewis and Harris Auction Mart in Stornoway is, for the first time, conducting a survey of the sheep and cattle producers from throughout Lewis and Harris.
The mart committee is keen to establish the opinions of all producers in the area with regard to maintaining, developing and improving the community owned livestock auction facility in Stornoway, whether or not they currently use the mart.
This survey forms part of the auction mart’s ongoing plan to improve facilities and better-tailor services to the needs of producers. The mart would like to find out people’s opinions on sale dates, sale frequency, mart facilities, communication with users and the usability of their website.
The auction mart Is also pleased to offer a survey prize-draw. Anyone who completes the survey will have the option to put their name in the draw for a litre bottle of Liquithrive Sheep kindly provided by the survey sponsors, Agri-Lloyd.
The survey can be accessed at: www.lewisandharrisauctionmart.co.uk/survey.html
For anyone without internet access, paper copies are available at Lewis Crofters Ltd. and from local area representatives
