Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and Northern Constabulary are urging drivers in the Outer Hebrides to take extra care as cold weather moves into the Highlands andIslands over the next few days.
A flash weather warning from the Met Office (www.metoffice.gov.uk) advises that widespread ice is expected to form on untreated surfaces this evening and overnight.
The public are advised to take extra care and refer to “Traffic Scotland” for further advice on road conditions.’
