Police are advising motorists to exercise caution on the roads with further snow expected in the north and the northern isles later this evening.
The snow is expected to be followed by freezing temperatures resulting in hazardous driving conditions tomorrow morning.
Police advice is take care and drive according to the conditions. Leave plenty of time for your journey and ensure your vehicle is ready for winter driving.
