Dr Ron Culley has been appointed to the post of Chief Officer, Health and Social Care, Western Isles.
The post is a new position which will provide overall strategic leadership to the Integrated Joint Board in delivering integrated health and social care services within the Western Isles.
Ron is currently Chief Officer, Health and Social Care, with the local authority organisation, COSLA. He said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this challenging post and look forward to moving to the Western Isles with my family. Health and Social Care Integration is a major change in providing services but ultimately it is about improving those services for communities. I am committed to delivering that aim, working with partner agencies and other organisations for the benefit of the Western Isles”.
Ron is married to Lisa and they have two children Arran (6) and Eilidh (2). He will take up the post over the summer.
