Royal National Mod School board winners announced

Stornoway Amenity Trust are delighted to announce the winners of the Royal National Mod school art board competition.

 

1st prize goes to Sgoil an Oib who created a very interesting board highlighting the topical subject of the Transocean Winner oil rig which unexpectedly visited the islands this summer.

 

2nd prize goes to Sgoil Lionacleit for their colourful and imaginative board and 3rd prize to Sgoil na Pairc for their very impressive contribution.

 

Chair of Stornoway Amenity Trust, Charlie Nicolson said: “We were extremely impressed by the standard of the boards created by schools right across the Western Isles and would like to thank all the pupils and teachers who took part.

 

“The boards brightened up the town before and during Mod week and show what artistic talent we have in our schools”

 

The winning schools will receive a donation to go towards school funds.
