North MSP pleased that 6178 people accessed her anti bullying web site to seek help.

heb logoNorth MSP Rhoda Grant who set up the anti bullying site Tobie (Tackling Oppressive Behaviour In Employment) revealed that the site set up almost a year ago has secured 6178 ‘hits’.

 

The site, primarily a signpost for people subjected to this anti social behaviour to seek support and guidance was launched in Inverness and Elgin.

 

Speaking today, Rhoda Grant said “ I think we must all be aware how much an issue this anti social behaviour is within the workplace and for that matter in all walks of life. I have had contact from across the Highlands and Moray by constituents who suffer at the hands of others.”

 

“Recently we were delighted to be able to support two separate individuals reach a sound conclusion with their individual cases. I have been contacted directly by almost a dozen people seeking help over the last 10 months or so. Employers need to do a lot more to address this issue that is for sure”.

 

Recently an Anti bullying survey conducted in Moray schools has generated a record response.

 

More than 2,000 pupils had contributed to the online survey by the time it closed on Friday.

 

It is the largest response to any survey conducted by Moray Council.

 

“ This just sadly shows the depth of the problem in society” said Rhoda Grant, “We all need to make ourselves aware of the signs that some one may being bullied and where we witness it first hand, we should always take positive action”.
