Police appeal for information following fires in Stornoway

NORTHERN Constabulary are appealing for information from the public following vehicle fires in Stornoway overnight.

About 2:20am, on the (10 August 2012) Police were made aware of the fires by the Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service. Three vehicles were on fire, outside a garage on School Road, Ballallan. The fires are thought to have started sometime between 1:00am and 2:20am this morning.

These fires are being treated as suspicious and Police urge anyone with any information to contact Stornoway Police Station on 01851 702222 or confidentially through Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
