Fire fighters have been tackling a wildfire in the Lews Castle Grounds Stornoway.
Five fire engines and 30 crew have been tackling the blaze, which spread over moorland destroying trees.
Work to bring it under control has been hampered by a strong north easterly wind.
Firefighters have been trying to create fire breaks with water pumped from the main road, which is three quarters of a mile away.
