Northern Constabulary and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar are working together to improve traffic management issues in Stornoway for the benefit of car users and pedestrians.
Drivers are reminded of the restrictions on the use of the pedestrianised area of the Town Centre and the pay and display in Perceval Square carpark.
Both Northern Constabulary and the Comhairle will be stepping up their enforcement of traffic regulations. There has recently been a misuse of parking in Point Street and it is hoped that this increased monitoring will free up short term car parking spaces in Perceval Square carpark.
