NHS Western Isles has taken advice from the Met Office, Scottish Government and Northern Constabulary with regard to the Severe Weather anticipated over the next 24 hours.
As such NHS Western Isles will continue to provide a service throughout the period and will maintain a minimal level of service.
Scheduled clinics will remain available to those who have taken the decision to travel to hospital; however NHS Western Isles would advise all members of the community to heed the warning advice regarding non-essential travel.
Those not wishing to travel to attend an appointment should contact NHS Western Isles on 01851 704704.
During this evening and through tonight a minimum out of hours service will continue allowing for weather conditions. This will be for essential and urgent clinical conditions only.
