Sunday opening officially got underway at Stornoway Golf Club this afternoon.
The club opened its doors at 12pm and was soon attracting families and patrons taking advantage of the new opening hours, which were recently granted following a legal appeal at Inverness Sheriff Court.
Although business was subdued – with only around 20 people – staff were positive that numbers would soon increase, especially if Sunday play on the club’s golf course was permitted in the future.
In the meantime plans are in the pipeline to air football matches and provide meals.
