New car parking arrangements, which will provide designated spaces for patients, will be introduced next month at Western Isles Hospital.
Token operated barriers will go live on December 6 and will provide 32 patient-only parking spaces. This is intended to improve parking considerably for patients, following on from the modernisation and expansion of the car park earlier this year.
Interim Hospital Lead Chris Anne Campbell said: “Tokens will be available at the Reception area of Western Isles Hospital, and patients can pick these up after attending their appointment in the hospital. The tokens are to be inserted into the slot mechanism in the car park to release the barrier. We would ask that patients remember to bring their appointment letter with them in order to secure a token on the way out.”
