On Wednesday 1 September 2010 Stornoway Port Authority convened a meeting of all the harbour authorities in the Outer Hebrides in order to discuss the possibility of collaborating to market the Outer Hebrides as a destination to the marine leisure market.
In addition to the harbour authorities, representatives from VisitScotland, relevant community organisations, and HIE were also in attendance at the meeting.
The discussions proved to be fruitful and positive with all partners agreeing an action plan to take the project forward. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for October.
If any other organisation feels that they should be part of this collaborative partnership they are invited to contact Jane Maciver at Stornoway Port Authority in the first instance.
