Island car drivers hoping to travel to the mainland this bank holiday weekend will be disappointed following the news that the car spaces are fully booked on the Stornoway to Ullapool and the Tarbert to Skye routes until Monday.
“Due to the demand”
Caledonian MacBrayne have confirmed there is not a single booking left on either service due to peak season demand.
A spokesman for the ferry company stated that they were sorry if people were unable to get a booking, adding that people should plan their journeys well ahead due to the demand.
