The Local Area Co-ordinator Service (LAC), which is currently administered by Advocacy Western Isles, providing a service across the islands, will be hosting a series of meetings to engage with the local communities.
These meeting will give carers and their representatives the opportunity to air their concerns regarding the possible impact that a change in service could bring.

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar need to ensure that the LAC service is providing the most cost effective benefit for people in the Western Isles. Meetings will be held in Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra and those who are regular service users or their carers or representatives are being encouraged to attend consultation meetings, which will be held on an appointment basis in the following locations:
13th April, Grianan Centre, Stornoway, 6.30pm – 9.00pm
14th April, Grianan Centre, Stornoway, 6.30pm – 9.00pm
15th April, Grianan Centre, Stornoway, 6.30pm – 9.00pm
19th April, Council Offices, Tarbert, 6.00pm – 8.00pm
20th April, Council Offices, Balivanich, 5.30pm – 7.30pm
21st April, Learners Centre, Castlebay, 5.30pm – 7.30pm
