“Awarded the sum of £2.93 million”
The LEADER Innse Gall community grants programme has announced that the intervention rate of grants has now increased to 50% of the total eligible projected costs.
The LEADER Innse Gall 2007-13 programme began on the 2nd March 2009, meaning that they have been in operation for over a year.
The Local Action Group were awarded the sum of £2.93 million in LEADER funding which was to be spent on projects primarily affecting the Outer Hebrides.

Since opening twenty one projects were approved, amounting to a total grant commitment of £622,623. Projects from the Butt to Barra benefited as well as working in co-operation with other Scottish LEADER areas on projects such as Crofting Connections.
LEADER Innse Gall can assist new and innovative community based projects which will be of ultimate benefit to the whole community.
Kathlene MacDonald, the LEADER Innse Gall Co-ordinator is based in Stornoway with Charlene MacKenzie, the Administrator. Kathlene will deal with any requests in Lewis or Harris whilst Donna Matheson is employed as Field Officer in Uist and Barra.
