The ‘Buy with Confidence’ business partnership scheme welcomed new members recently.
The scheme supports Western Isles building trades businesses whilst ensuring protection for island consumers.
Iain MacAulay, Director of Social and Community Services commented:
“I am delighted to see that the membership of ‘Buy with Confidence’ continues to grow. The scheme supports Western Isles building traders while giving protection to the islands’ consumers. Member companies will be independently checked by staff from the Comhairle’s Trading Standards Service against the Partnership rules on trustworthiness and compliance with the law”.
George MacAskill of Stornoway Painters and Decorators said:
“I was called to a house to give a quote to this couple looking for their sitting room to be painted. It was from the ‘Buy with Confidence’ website that they obtained my details”.
