The largest Harris Tweed mill in Stornoway has reopened it’s doors today after being temporarily closed for nearly a year.
The Kenneth MacKenzie mill in Stornoway was taken over by the KM Group run by businessman Brian Haggas in December 2006.
Once the country’s largest producer of Harris tweed the mill is now a much smaller operation employing only a handful of worker’s to make a new lightweight tweed to add to it’s existing range of patterns.
