Primary school teacher Johanna Marshall has been appointed new chief executive of Stòrlann Nàiseanta na Gàidhlig .
Originally from Back, Johanna graduated with a B.Ed with honours from the Northern College, Aberdeen.
Through teaching, as both principal and primary teacher, she has worked in Gaelic-medium primary schools in Stirling and Lewis.
Johanna’s other interests include poetry, short story and children’s literature and she is currently writing two Gaelic books for children.
Murdo MacIver, Chairman of the Board of Stòrlann told Hebrides news Today: “We are delighted to have secured such a talented individual as our new Chief Executive. Her teaching knowledge will be invaluable as she steers Stòrlann into the future, building on the outstanding work already carried out.”
