The Crofters Commission is relocating to Great Glen House, Leachkin Road, Inverness IV3 8NW
Environment Minister Roseanna Cunningham told Hebrides news Today: “SEARS partners are co-located in 18 locations across Scotland. The Crofter’s Commission move offers further opportunities to join up services for rural Scotland’s land managers.”
Nick Reiter, Chief Executive, said, “the Commission’s lease on the offices at Castle Wynd is due to expire. As part of Scotland’s Environmental and Rural Services (SEARS), our moving to share offices with Scottish Natural Heritage and the Deer Commission has big benefits in terms of savings, opportunities for shared services and reduction of our carbon footprint in one of the most sustainable buildings in the U.K.”
The move will take place on 1st March 2010 but we will be closed to the public from Thursday 25th February and open for business as usual on Wednesday 4th March. It is only our address that will change you can still contact us on the usual telephone numbers and email addresses.”
