Thanks to advice from Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Live Hebrides service, a well known Harris company, AD Munro (Harris) Ltd. now has a brand new website to help with their business.
In 1966 Alex Dan Munro took his first steps in the business sector with a mobile shop and as the years have passed the business has grown and developed into what people are now familiar with as “AD Munro’s.
The business portfolio now includes a bakery, takeaway, post office, sorting office and in-store butchery.
Alex Dan and his brother Ewen still remain true to their business values and attribute the longevity and success of the business to their loyal customers.
Alex Dan commented: “We take great pride in serving our customers and believe we have kept the business going by always taking the customers and their needs into account. Our most recent development has been the creation of a website for the business.
This offers our existing customers something new and could help attract potential customers too”.
Robert Macleod, Live Hebrides Business Adviser commented: “We offer clients a range of options and try to find something that suits their needs best.
On this occasion there was a real commitment from the company, so we discussed a “self build” website. Within a couple of weeks the business had a fully functioning website up and running and had even progressed as far as selling online.
He went on to say, “Self build websites are not for everyone, but they are a great way of getting an online presence and can cost under £10.00 per annum. No website design experience is necessary, so for some businesses they can be a very attractive option”.
The website can be viewed at www.admunro.co.uk
