Western Isles MP Angus MacNeil has urged again for people to write to the BBC Trust asking them to put BBC Alba on Freeview.
The BBC Trust is currently carrying out a review of BBC Alba and other channels. The closing date for the review is 18 January 2010.
Mr MacNeil commented: “BBC Alba has been an undoubted success since its launch in September 2008. To ensure that it reaches a wider audience, it must be shown on Freeview.
“I would urge everyone that can to send their views to the BBC Trust about this issue; and one of the ways to achieve this is, if people write to the BBC Trust and urge them to put the channel on Freeview.”
