Suffolk based company Sheeran Lock Ltd is lookingfor for artist-educators in the Highlands and Islands including, but not limited to: Oban, Thurso, Inverness, Stromness, Stornoway and North Uist.
Sheeran Lock are currently organising a number of artist-led workshops for young people aged 11-19 from all over Britain. They are looking for CRB-registered artists who would be interested in working in school and community settings to deliver day-long workshops for groups of 20-30. There will be support from teachers and venues will be risk assessed. All art materials will be provided according to a list submitted by the artist and agreed by the organisers (subject to budget and health and safety considerations).
Artists will be asked to work to an existing lesson outline chosen from a wide range – covering identity, equality, race, faith, gender, human rights, disability – or to create a plan which fits the project remit and the relevant age, ability and curriculum. All artwork produced during the workshops will be entered into a prestigious national competition.
